As a coach and presenter, I have collaborated with winning companies and leaders in the non-profit, health care, and government fields. I have over a decade of experience working with clients and teaching communication theory, public speaking, and effective business communication. I know the common communication pitfalls that hold individuals and organizations back and how we can unlock the solutions that will work for you.

Knowledge You Can Use

I hold a Masters in Communication and Rhetoric from the University of Kansas and a Graduate Certificate in Executive and Professional Coaching from the University of Texas at Dallas. In my role as a Teaching Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s Henry W. Bloch School of Management, I help my students build a bridge between communication theory and practice. I work with students in the Bloch School’s MBA, Undergraduate, and Executive Programs, and serve as a Faculty Advisor for UMKC Enactus — an organization comprised of students from across disciplines who use social entrepreneurship to solve problems on a global scale. I am a communication scholar who sees the real-world application and knows how to tack important trends.
